Our Programs
Passion Packs
Few things are as depressing as a hospital room. Passion Packs are little day brighteners for newly diagnosed patients – they're basically a hospital survival kit! We distribute these packs – filled with fun things like bubbles and dvd's to the more practical like sweats and soap – to various hospitals. This is Heart of Passion's newest endeavor and should officially be underway in Atlanta during the fall of 2006.
Red Carpet Day
Red Carpet Day is an all-expense paid four day retreat for teenagers with cancer. Whether they are skipping lines at Six Flags, cruising the city in limousines, or enjoying their own private concert, these teenagers are always treated to the utmost luxury. RCD offers an environment of comfort and encouragement – allowing teens a chance to act their age without having to worry about meds, new appearances, and no one to relate.
Red Carpet Day Extravaganza
Founded in the spring of 2004 by some amazing visionary freshmen at Georgia Tech,
Red Carpet Day Extravaganza serves to raise money and awareness for Red Carpet Day on college campuses. The programming put on by the RCDE committees varies by campus, and many groups put on battles of the bands, 5k fun runs, dinner theaters, LAN parties, or carnivals — the events are as unique and entertaining as the people putting them into action. This is a wonderful example of youth helping youth, and each RCDE is able to contribute to teens from their own area.
